The harness racing world’s attention will be focused on Delaware, Ohio, for the next two days for the famed Little Brown Jug and its filly companion race, the Jugette.

Carrying Ontario’s hopes in the Jugette tomorrow (Wednesday) is L A Delight, a Bettors Delight filly who has 17 wins in 23 career starts for $1,085,585. The filly was bred by Hall of Fame horseman Bob McIntosh of Windsor, Ontario along with his cousin Al McIntosh of Leamington and the CSX Stable of Ohio.

L A Delight’s first cousin, Confident Fella, races at Kawartha Downs this Saturday night in the sixth race where he’s drawn post six. A four-year-old gelding by Artistic Fella, Confident Fella’s mother, L A Confidential is a sister to L A Delight’s mom. West Of L A. Their famous brother is $1.9 million winner Thinking Out Loud.

Confident Fella has campaigned throughout the 2016 racing season at KD. He’s owned by Terri Lynn Prosser of Peterborough.

Saturday’s card of racing at Kawartha Downs, which gets underway at 7 p.m., is the second last of the 2016 season.
