Revitalization Plan
It is with great pleasure that Kawartha Downs announces the passing of the Minister’s Zoning Order (MZO) on March 4, 2022.
For clarity purposes, the MZO was granted on lands to the north of Kawartha Downs (abutting Highway 28 and Moore Avenue) and the change of zoning will permit residential homes (singles, semis and townhouses ) to be built on lands located just north of the casino. In addition, it allows for the revitalization of the property at Kawartha Downs by building new fairgrounds, a concert venue, hotel, and agricultural fairgrounds which will be built around the existing racetrack and casino.
In other words we are adding onto to what is an incredible facility at Kawartha Downs.
We are extremely ecstatic for the upcoming transformation of Kawartha Downs. And really are excited to be celebrating our 50th anniversary this year.
