The three-year-old trotting filly Elegant Holiday has raced three times at Kawartha Downs this year and won every time. She’ll go for four on Saturday night as she’s drawn post four in the evening’s second race.

Bred by Tara Hills Stud of nearby Port Perry, the daughter of Holiday Road is owned by Tara Hills’ owner Dave Heffering, farm manager Matt Harrison and well known trainer Murray Brethour. The latter was her trainer at the beginning of her career but they elected to turn her over to Dagfin Henriksen, known for his skill with trotters, in May.

Henriksen has started her at his home track of Kawartha Downs three times since then and she has returned to the winner’s circle each time, including on July 25th when she provided Henriksen with his 100th victory as a driver.

Winning is a theme in Elegant Holiday’s family as her older brother, Theresademoninme has won two of his three last starts including at Mohawk last week in a life best 1:54.3. Post time for Saturday’s card of racing is 7 p.m. A free program for the card may be viewed here.
