After almost a year away, talented trotter Cold Certified will return to Kawartha Downs this Saturday where he’s drawn post eight in the eighth race.

Nick Boyd, one of the top young drivers at the Fraserville, Ontario, oval, will guide the six-year-old gelding for owner/trainer Gary Lance of Port Perry, Ontario. This will be his first start in Ontario in several months as he’s spent his summer racing at Scioto Downs on Ohio.

A winner of $436,000 to date in his career, Cold Certified was a multiple Ontario Sires Stakes winner. Post time at Kawartha on Saturday night is 7 p.m. Fans are reminded that anyone bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the local food bank will receive a $2 betting voucher.
